Veteran Freshman Presents The Heineken Greenroom 8/7

silk city

Last Wednesday, Hidden University took a ride out to Silk City to be in the building for the Heineken Greenroom show hosted by Billy Abstract and DJ AyeBoogie. It was a full house welcoming Dewey Decibel, Isis the Savior, Mike Milehigh, and Nitty Scott to the stage. They put on for the city without a doubt and Nitty Scott showed us what her Brooklyn style is really all about. Not to mention, Billy and the DJ kept the show live in between performances and well, you just can’t go wrong with free Heineken for the first two hours.

Dewey Saunders who is also commonly known as Dewey Decibel hit the stage first, a Philly MC currently signed to and directing Bold New Breeds Records. He did a great job and the crowd showed him mad love as they welcomed Isis Tha Saviour who followed Dewey’s performance.

Isis Tha Saviour is one of the rawest female MCs coming up in Philly and she’s also one of the first female rappers to be featured on Hidden University. She is definitely working hard to #SpreadThaGospel to not only Philly but to cities everywhere, so big shout out to her!

Mike Milehigh hit the stage as well with his fans cheering and going crazy for him the whole time. The place was flooded with Milehigh supporters and different people wearing “Focu$ed” t-shirts along with various others from his “Mile High Mafia” clothing collection. The chemistry between him and his people is amazing and it was definitely an inspirational experience to watch.

Nitty Scott was the main headliner for the night and she shut down the stage. She kept it real funky as her DJ played some throwbacks including a classic from Marvin Gaye, “Sexual Healing” and some throwback salsa as well for all the latinos in the building. Ya tu sabe!

It was a phenominal show and we would like to shout out Yusuf Yuie who was the man behind it all and put this event together on behalf of “Veteran Freshman”. If you weren’t in the building Wednesday night, you missed one hell of a show. But in case you were still curious, you already know we captured some footage!
