Spring Fling at Temple University
Every year around this time, Temple University hosts its highly anticipated annual Spring Fling festival which features a bunch of cool stuff like food, games, giveaways, vendors, dancing, and a whole lot of good music. Students crowded the Liacouras Walk of Temple University campus as they enjoyed this beautiful eventful afternoon with nice weather and a lot of fun. This year Hidden University was amongst the crazy crowd as we witnessed several DJ’s mixing it up on the ones and two’s with Temple’s student radio, “WHIP”.
As Spring Fling was wrapping up, I linked up with Dominique Clark and Woodrow McCarthy of The Righteous Intuition Posse (T.R.I.P) as they talked about their music and what their plans are as they work towards establishing themselves as artists. Most people know them as just Dom and Woody, but apparently they’ve been rapping ever since the eighth grade, however they didn’t start taking their music seriously up until about two years ago. Although they’re somewhat new to the game, they are definitely laying down the right framework to make their way up to the top.
T.R.I.P. is also scheduled to perform at Stage 48 with Reggie Mills, as they open up for rapper/producer Too $hort next month on May 2nd. They are also slowly working on putting out their first T.R.I.P. EP which will basically be their debut into the industry, introducing their skills and giving the world a piece of The Righteous Intuition.
In addition to the interview, T.R.I.P. hit us off with a dope freestyle preparing fans and viewers for what’s in store for the future.
